12″ x 24″         Verbena is a terrific ground cover perennial.  This selection has a more tight mounding habit and makes it perfect for front of the border.  Verbena flower on the tips of new growth, so the trick for more flowers is to trim back the spent flowers, fertilize and enjoy another flowering cycle.  Compact Burgundy is as its name suggests tight growth with beautiful clusters of burgundy flowers.

Some Verbena are mildew prone, so if you see this start spraying with horticultural oil or Actinovate as per Dahlia’s.
