Horticultural Notes

6 – 12″ x spreading          Nohu is a perennial ground cover found along the shoreline.  The hairy pinnate leaves and bright yellow flower make this a very attractive plant.  However, the seedpod is armed with nasty spines that give it another common name, ‘Puncture Vine’, and these spines keep it out of most gardens.

Puncture Vine is a weed in some areas; I have found it growing in the high desert behind San Diego.
