Horticultural Notes
vine to 15’ Pohuehue is a vine found along the shoreline. It is a member of the potato family with large attractive violet colored flowers and shiny, cupped green leaves. This is a superb plant for the seaside garden.
The early Hawaiians used the long stems to make ropes, fishnets and traps.[1]
