Horticultural Notes
1′ x 4′ Nena is a sprawling, herbaceous shrub with bluish-green leaves and coils of small white flowers. These plants are very salt tolerant and can be found growing right on the beach.
The early Hawaiians dried the plant and used it to make a tea for a medicinal tonic.[1]
