Horticultural Notes
5-10’ x 6-10’ Coprosma are members of the Coffee Family. This Pilo (note many of the species have the same Hawaiian name) is a generally rounded shrub with leathery somewhat lance-shaped leaves and ellipsoid greenish to orange fruit. The dioecious flowers (male and female on different plants) are greenish-white. This is a mid elevation shrub found in wet to mesic (more balanced supply of water) areas.
