Coleus ‘Gay’s Delight’
Gay’s Delight Coleus
Horticultural Notes
There are countless varieties of Coleus on the market but I only use a few in my garden. Gay’s Delight is a star performer with yellow leaves having dark veining. The rich yellow colored leaves make a bold statement in bright areas of the garden. Although they are perennials, Coleus are short lived. But you can get several seasons of unmatched color and texture. The main trick is to pinch out the light blue flower spikes. This helps to keep the plant in vegetative growth. Trim lightly and fertilize for lush growth. Plant in full sun or light shade and give regular water.
